By October this year, the firm would have been serving the community and people of Hong Kong for 20 years. 

 

With a strong focus on general insurance services, we also provide quality services in areas such as civil/commercial matters both contentious and non-contentious, will and probate matters both contentious and non-contentious, immigration matters (mainly non-contentious), bankruptcy and insolvency matter (mainly contentious), IP matters (mainly contentious), construction and criminal matters.

 

In between 2007 – 2014, we had actively participated in creating and lecturing a new course on introducing legal thinking to undergraduate Actuarial Science students with the Department of Statistics & Actuarial Science at the University of Hong Kong and had help cultivating the legal minds of a good number of young actuaries during those 7 years.

 

During the infancy years of the introduction of mediation to the civil dispute resolution practice under the Civil Justice Reform 2009, we had also taken very active parts in assisting the Judiciary and the General Insurance industry to promote the basic understanding, the implementation and the ways to better secure successes in using mediation for insurance claims thereby speeding up the infiltration of mediation in the field forming the solid foundation for today’s success of mediation as a more widely recognised tool for dispute resolution for general insurance claims.

 

In 2018, with a greater sense of responsibility in educating and sharing with the young generation legal professionals, the firm resumed the intake of trainee solicitors.  The responses were highly promising with a good number of good quality applicants from which we had the most difficult tasks of making the decision on the intake of two.  We shall continue with our effort in providing good guidance to our newcomers to the profession.

 

In the new eras of the Belt Road and the Big Bay Area development, couple with the dynamically evolving new challenges, we will continue with our spirit of knowledge and experience sharing, alongside with our constant focus on providing top notch legal services to our patronage and loyal clients with the aim at always bringing home for them the best possible results in each and every matter we are entrusted.
